Wejherowo full of surprises

The capital of Kashubia invites you

The capital of Kashubia invites you to explore the history of Wejherowo and Kashubian traditions on a guided city tour. The Jakub Wejher Square, with the monument of its founder in its centre, is the heart of the city. From his base, you can see the city hall in the south of the square. Daily at 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00 o clock the Kashubian hymn is played here. In the western part of the square rises the Collegiate Church of the “Holy Trinity” and  in the Northwest stands the Remus Memorial, which commemorates the heroes of the greatest Kashubian novel by Aleksander Majkowski ‘The Life and Adventures of Remus’.

Have a break in Wejherowo with a Kashubian touch

You can complete your city tour with a visit to a restaurant or a confectionery and taste Kashubian specialities. There’s also a brewery on the market square where you can enjoy local beer. Some stores sell Kashubian products, which are wonderful gifts for your dearest. Wejherowo organizes yearly (December) a cozy Christmas market. A few months later, during Easter, the market square is adorned with a several meters high Easter egg decorated with Kashubian patterns.
