Visit the pagan burial ground with 16 burial mounds (also known as kurgans) in the tiny village of Lewino (Linia commune). These medieval kurgans, made of sand and stone, cover a grave or several graves. The burial ground in Lewino dates back to the 10th or 11th century. Archeologists found objects (knives, sword as well as a shield) in the graves, they belonged to the former ruling elite.
You can reach the burial site from Lewino when you take the road to Staniszewo. After 1 km in the forest you will find the burial site with a parking and picnic tables. Walk along the marked educational trail to see all graves.
