Churches and chapels in Wejherowo

In Wejherowo you will encounter churches and chapels in different styles. The Collegiate Church (Holy Trinity Church) on the market square dates from the 17th century. The altars, the pulpit and the baptismal font are from the Rococo period, and the painting of the crucifixion is from 1629 (Rubens school). In the Baroque St. Anne’s Church of the Franciscan order, located in the Klasztorna Street, you should admire the altars and a painting of our Lady of Wejherowo. The 20th century Church of St. Stanislaus Kostka in the 3rd of May  Street is decorated in neo-Gothic style. Last but not least, the chapels of the Calvary in Wejherowo founded in the 17th century are a must see.

The largest mosaic in Europe

Among the most interesting religious buildings of the District of Wejherowo, is the church of St. Wawrzyniec in Luzino.  Here you can see a crucifix from the 17th century, a baptismal font and a stone stoup in the narthex. Also worth seeing are the St. Mary’s Church in Rumia with the largest mosaic in Europe. In the little village of Góra visit the 100 years old church with its original interior.
